Sean Kates

Sean Kates is the Associate Director of Programs in Data Analytics. Prior to coming to Penn, Sean received a PhD in Politics from New York University and served as a postdoctoral research fellow at Princeton University, as well as with the Center for Social Media and Politics at NYU. His research focuses on political institutions, including fringe political parties, as well as the use of social media by masses and elites to communicate and influence political messages.
