PORESData Scientist
Samantha Sangenito is a Data Scientist at the Penn Program on Opinion Research and Election Studies. She teaches courses in data analytics at the undergraduate level through PORES and at the graduate level through the Fels Institute of Government. As the Associate Director of Programs in Data Analytics at LPS, she also teaches online courses in the data sciences. As a data scientist in the public sector, she developed performance management systems that allow communities to track and evaluate their efforts towards becoming trauma-informed. Her research interests include policies' impact to children's development and well-being, quantitative methods, as well as the practical application of data analytics for the public sector. She holds a masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelors from Lafayette College.
