Stephen Pettigrew

Stephen Pettigrew is the Director of Data Sciences of PORES and the Deputy Executive Director of the Fox Leadership Program at Penn. Prior to coming to Penn, Stephen received a PhD in political science and a Master’s in statistics from Harvard University and worked at the MIT Election Data and Science Lab. His research  informs discussions about topics like representation, accountability, and race by focusing on issues related to voting accessibility and problems with the way elections are run in the United States. He also studies sports analytics and has been a contributor to FiveThirtyEight, the Wall Street Journal, and Deadspin. Stephen received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Georgia in 2011.
