Jim Rutenberg: Journalism, Social Media, and the 2016 Campaign

Jim Rutenberg is the Chief Political Correspondent for The New York Times Magazine. He has worked at The New York Times since 2000, serving as a media beat reporter; City Hall Bureau Chief; White House Correspondent; Investigative Correspondent and National Political Correspondent. Rutenberg has covered the last four presidential campaigns for the newspaper. He was co-lead reporter of the 2012 campaign coverage. Before coming to The Times he worked as a staff correspondent for the New York Observer, the New York Daily News and the New York Post. He is based in New York. He went to New York University and grew up in Philadelphia, attending Friends' Central School from grades K through 12.
